1. Miami Dolphins 27 Bills 20

Bills emerge victorious in Miami thriller after seventh scoring drives open second half with Josh Allen passing for 27 yards to Patrick DiMarco to kickoff scoring drives, followed by Stephen Hauschka kicking two field goals. However, it was Buffalo’s defense which changed the course of this contest; DE Tre’Davious White picked off Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill near Buffalo two-yard line, leading a quick drive that culminated in Josh Allen finding Cole Beasley for an effortless touchdown reception from Josh Allen.

Buffalo scored on its opening drive for the first time since 2016 during a 98-yard march that culminated with Ray Davis scoring from 63 yards out, after dodging safety Marcus Maye at Miami 40 and running through to end zone. That touchdown helped narrow their deficit from 20-13 down to 13 in just over 30 minutes of game action!

As time wound down, the Bills advanced to Miami 43 where Hauschka made a 34-yard field goal. On their next play however, Buffalo LB Kiko Alonso lost control and his fumble was recovered by cornerback Jamar Taylor before they had no choice but to punt.

Miami had driven all the way to Buffalo’s 29 before failing to convert on fourth down, prompting Buffalo’s comeback drive that brought them all the way back down to Miami’s 38. After an unsuccessful fake field goal attempt by Allen, running back Mike Tolbert took advantage of good field position by rushing for 15 yards before receiving a 5-yard touchdown from Allen for their first road touchdown of this season – giving them a 24-20 lead with under one minute remaining in this game.

2. Miami Dolphins 24 Bills 23

Miami won its second game of the season and remained undefeated with a 24-22 victory against Buffalo, thanks to their stellar defense which forced four turnovers and twice sacked Josh Allen. Bills wide receiver Jim Braxton caught a touchdown pass from Mike Taliaferro late in the fourth quarter to pull them within two points but could not complete their two-point conversion attempt.

Buffalo’s rush attack should play an integral part in this contest, as they currently rank second behind only the Jets in terms of average rushing yards per game. Leonard Fournette recently set himself on track for 4,500+ rushing yards this year as an NFL rookie running back, an accomplishment which would make history. Buffalo will look to isolate Miami by emphasizing their running game and controlling the clock as one-dimensional opponents.

As for the Bills’ passing game, Josh Allen has excelled against Miami Dolphins defense – going 11-2 against them over his career. Allen will look to exploit an Miami defense which ranks fourth against runs but only 27th against passes; unfortunately he has also been playing with an injured wrist which limits his improvisation and ability to gain space quickly on the field.

The Buffalo Bills are the clear favorite in this matchup, but must avoid an emotional letdown following last week’s emotional comeback win against Kansas City. Facing one of the premier teams in football in recent weeks could prove challenging; but I believe Buffalo can pull it off at home against such formidable opposition in primetime action.

3. Miami Dolphins 27 Bills 21

After an impressive drive, Buffalo had the ball inside Miami’s red zone with two minutes remaining and Josh Allen misread the play call on 3rd-and-goal, opting to pass instead of running it and being intercepted by Miami’s Byron Maxwell – giving Miami enough time to run out the clock and extend its lead further.

After trading field goals in the first quarter, Miami quickly took control in the second. Following a Byron Maxwell interception, Tua Tagovailoa to Malik Washington scored on their opening drive of the second half – an unexpected but significant blow against Buffalo who have been struggling to establish their running game.

With their victory, the Dolphins improved to 3-7 and posted their largest margin of victory against the Bills since 1970 and second-largest road win ever. Furthermore, this defeat ended a 17-game home winning streak against divisional opponents that stretched back to the end of Jim Kelly era.

Buffalo trailed 21-14 entering the fourth quarter, but thanks to a late game fumble by Ryan Tannehill they gained possession with 4:31 remaining and took control. Tannehill attempted to pass DeVon Achane but his pass was intercepted by Byron Maxwell for an interception that led directly to Dan Carpenter scoring 35-yard field goal in overtime for victory for Miami Dolphins over Buffalo Bills (28-21 loss) with Josh Allen throwing for 347 yards and one touchdown passing game, however they ultimately fell short despite this by winning three games and hoping Pittsburgh lose at least once against them (They currently hold sixth seed status within AFC playoffs). This week is bye week before playoff action resumes for them if they can keep this momentum, they could make playoffs by defeating Miami (28-24 and hope Pittsburgh Steelers lose) vs Pittsburgh (29th seed in AFC playoffs), so should keep winning this week before scheduling bye week 16 against them (they currently hold sixth seed status).

4. Miami Dolphins 24 Bills 21

Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills are each trying to rebuild their fortunes in the American Football Conference East Division, with both teams seeking victory that would increase their playoff chances. While this rivalry was once seemingly one-sided, competition became much closer after Hall-of-Famer Jim Kelly and Dan Marino emerged on both teams during the 1980s.

The Dolphins have won seven of the last 10 meetings at South Beach. Meanwhile, Buffalo Bills have taken four out of five overall and boasting a three-game win streak against divisional foes.

This game should be a defensive struggle. The Bills boast one of the league’s second-best run defenses while Miami is among those with one of the weakest secondary units – making under an attractive bet here.

Buffalo’s ability to sustain long, time-consuming drives should wear down Miami, which has allowed some big plays this year. Furthermore, Miami is one of the NFL’s slowest team when it comes to snapping the ball and Josh Allen could find ample opportunity for success against them and his receivers.

Due to injuries (Joellie Gordon is out injured, and Jaylen Wright was benched), expect De’Von Achane to receive most of the targets in this game. Achane has proven himself an effective receiver over his career, surpassing 732 yards this season while catching six of nine targets against Dolphins for 31 yards total – becoming an invaluable asset to Bills this year if that pace can continue.

5. Miami Dolphins 23 Bills 20

The Dolphins and Bills have played each other 92 times during regular season play since 1969 when the Buffalo Bills first joined the American Football League (AFL) as an expansion team. Since then, both teams have faced each other every year; currently the Dolphins lead this series 23-9.

Miami led 3-0 after the first quarter and capitalized on an important play early in the second. A punt from Buffalo deep into Dolphin territory was recovered by Carwell Gardner at Bills 35, where it was then returned by Jim Kelly for a 26-yard touchdown pass to Andre Reed that ultimately proved decisive in this contest.

Both teams traded three-and-outs until Josh Allen connected with Trent Sherfield for a 36-yard touchdown pass just before halftime to put Buffalo ahead, 14-6. But Miami held steady through the final two quarters; Willie Gay Jr. sacked Allen during a quarterback sneak attempt in the third quarter while Minkah Fitzpatrick recovered a fumble during Achane’s fourth-quarter defensive touchdown run to seal their victory with this final push by Minkah Fitzpatrick recovering fumble on defensive touchdown run by Achane which sealed victory for Miami over Miami.

This victory for the Bills marked their sixth straight win and secured them an AFC East playoff berth by virtue of having the better conference record. Meanwhile, it marked six straight Dolphin wins against Bills rivalry games, and an opportunity for them to avenge home defeat from 2023 when Don Shula served as head coach while Jim Kelly celebrated an amazing career at Bills.
